UFC Betting Odds
Andrei Arlovski +120
Brendan Schaub -150

When the UFC announced the return of The Pit Bull, it caught many people off guard. After Arlovski left the UFC six years ago, he suffered a string of four losses signaled to anyone watching, his time in the cage was probably over as he lost three of those four via KO or TKO. Arlovski kept fighting and despite the dearth of quality competition, he’s put together a nice run against the fighters they put in front of him. He’s won 6 of his last eight fights with one no contest and one loss to a rejuvenated Anthony “Rumble” Johnson.

Is Arlovski’s run for real or fool’s gold, we’ll find out Saturday when he steps into the cage against Brendan Schaub.

Schuab is very athletic, he’s an excellent striker with a boxing pedigree and his ground game has been the reason for his most recent victories. Despite his boxing skills, Schaub will want to avoid a slugfest with Arlovski as he’s been KO’d before and his chin might not hold up against Arlovski’s swing for the fences style. If he can utilize his new and improved jiu-jitsu, Schuab stands an excellent chance of victory but he could just as easily walk out of the cage Saturday night with a KO victory – the both could.

Considering Arlovski’s opponents during his hot streak, the odds for Schaub seem like good value unless Arlovski’s for real. We’ll find out Saturday night.
