The UFC is live from Las Vegas this Saturday with UFC 175 – Chris Weidman vs. Lyoto Machida fighting for the UFC’s middleweight title. Also on the card, the co-main event featuring women’s champion Ronda Rousey defending her title against Alexis Davis. But well before those two title fights, the UFC has put together a stacked card including fan favorite Urijah Faber who will fight on the preliminary card for the first time in several years.
Let’s look at the preliminary fights and the UFC oddsmakers’ odds for each.
Alex Caceres +550
Urijah Faber -900
This is unfamiliar territory of Urijah Faber, he’s been a main event and main card PPV fighter for a long time so you can expect him to have a chip on his should when he takes on Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres on the preliminary card. Faber is a big favorite here and it’s to be expected. Faber has had lots of success against fighters who aren’t champions. Faber’s last five losses have all come in title fights.
Ildemar Alcantara -160
Kenny Robertson +130
These two fighters have 23 wins between them but only 5 have gone to the judges’ card. Expect this fight to end with a finishes. Don’t blink.
Bruno Santos +200
Chris Camozzi -260
Carmozzi had been on a four-fight win streak before facing Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza in Souza’s promotional debut, he lost and then lost a second straight to Lorenz Larkin. Carmozzi was looking for a step up in competition, he got it and failed. It will be a long way back up the ladder but he should take his first step against Santos.
George Roop -200
Rob Font +160
Rob Font is making his UFC debut against George Roop. Roop isn’t a world-beater but he’s a solid fighter and should take advantage of Font’s octagon jitters in this fight.
Guilherme Vasconcelos -165
Luke Zachrich +135
“Bomba” Guilherme Vasconcelos is a young inexperienced fighter but he showed a ton of promise during his stint on The Ultimate Fighter Brazil. He takes on the well-rounded Luke Zachrich. Bomba is being touted as a prodigy if he can overcome the big show jitters he should put on a show at UFC 175.
