The second half of the UFC’s ambition two fight cards in one night is the Ultimate Fighter Brazil season 3 finale from Sao Paulo Brazil. The main event features Stipe Miocic and Fabio Maldonado in a heavyweight tilt. The opening fight on the televised card is a featherweight battle between the very popular Rony Jason (14-4 MMA, 4-1 UFC) and Robbie Peralta (17-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC).
Jason is a solid favorite coming into this fight as the bookies have him as -300 favorite so UFC bettors will need to risk $300 for every $100 they want to profit with a win. If you like the dog in this fight, you’ll earn $230 for every $100 risked on Peralta.
UFC TUF Brazil Odds
Robbie Peralta +230
Rony Jason -300
Jason is back in the cage only 69 days after his KO of Steve Siler at UFC Fight Night 38 and this will be his fifth time fighting in Brazil, he’s yet to fight for the UFC outside of his native home.
Peralta is coming off the second fastest knockout in the featherweight division as he finished Estevan Payan at just 12 seconds of the first round of their UFC 168 bout. The quick KO was Peralta making amends for testing positive for marijuana in his previous match.
This has fight of the night written all over it. Jason and Peralta are finishers. Peralta likes to turn a fighters lights out, while Jason is more of a submission specialist. Between the two of them, they only have six decisions in 40 fights.
The key to this fight will be Jason’s ability to fight in control; he can be a reckless fighter as we saw against Jeremy Stephens when his night ended just 40 seconds into the fight. If he can focus on the finish without opening himself up, Jason could pull of a victory but Peralta has the power to put Jason to sleep if he slips up.
