OneFC: War of Lions – Enomoto vs. Moreira

Fresh off his win over Ole Laursen in Jakarta last month, Felipe Enomoto headlines OneFC: War of the Lions with Zorobabel Moreira at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on March 31, 2012.

Felipe Enomoto (6-3)

Enomoto has trained all over the world under different disciplines namely; boxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He is particularly effective on the ground as he showed against Laursen. After being dropped to the mat by Laursen’s hooks, Enomoto relied on his BJJ skills to prevent Laursen from pounding on him. Enomoto even managed to slither out of a choke attempt.

After a shaky first round, Enomoto came back strong in the second round and finished the fight with a rear naked choke.

Zorobabel Moreira (5-1)

Standing 6-foot-3, Moreira pairs his physical advantage with superb skills on the ground. His long reach and decent striking are challenges for any opponent who faces him. Moreira displayed a vastly improved Muay Thai game in his fight against Andy Wang at OneFC: Champion vs. Champion.

Enomoto is careless in his stand-up game which can lead to disaster when facing a long armed opponent like Moreira. Moreira must keep Enomoto at bay and prevent him from closing distance.

Moreira makes up for his lack of explosiveness with technical soundness. His long reach will pose problems for Enomoto.

Prediction: Tough fight to call but we’re going to have to go with Moreira. His physical advantages and improved stand-up may be too much for Enomoto to overcome.
